Beauty therapy and makeup has always been a passion of mine since high school. I have now been in the industry for 4 years and I absolutely love making my clients feel amazing about themselves every time they leave the salon.

I'm a born and bred Southland girl, growing up in a little city called Invercargill. I gained my diploma in Beauty Therapy at Southern Institute of Technology. I moved to Queenstown in 2017 with my partner.

When I'm outside of work you will find me learning about new makeup products & techniques, exploring the beautiful outdoors Queenstown has to offer, and catching up with my friends and family!

Originally from Essex in the UK, I went to beauty college straight from high school and have been working in the industry now for 15 years. Both my Mum and Grandad were both hairdressers, so I guess the love for beauty is in my blood.

Throughout the years I have done training with ESPA, Thalgo, Lash Perfect, Nouveau Lashes, HD Brows, CND, Young Nails, and Lycon, among many more.

I moved to Queenstown in 2018, and plan on planting my roots here, as I got engaged recently and love everything about Queenstown.

When I’m not a work you’ll find me cooking, doing macrame and painting, yoga and making home made body scrubs and butters and lip balms.

They say “find a job you love and you never have to work a day in your life.” I feel very lucky to say this is how I feel working for EVE.

I absolutely love the beauty industry and have been wanting to work in a beauty salon for sometime now. I’ve been working in and out of hair salons as a salon coordinator for the past four years, the highlight for me during that time was working at Suki’s for 2 years which is Vancouver’s number 1 hair salon. In 2017 I decided to go travelling & moved to Australia, I went home briefly in 2018 & meet my Kiwi partner who was travelling around Canada at the time, which led me to join him New Zealand & we moved to Queenstown in November 2018.

I absolutely love how much Queenstown reminds me of home! I enjoy working with the EVE girls so much, it awesome being apart of an amazing team helping to serve Queenstown locals. The friendly faces I get to see everyday really makes coming to work each day a real pleasure.

In my spare time you will find me either baking, riding my bike, or working on my latest DIY project. My partner and are also avid campers, and love to take any chance we can get to get out of Queenstown and see more of this beautiful country.

The beautiful Queenstown is where I have made my home since 2016, however I am originally from England.

I first left home to travel where I visited Asia and Australia, and now New Zealand which is the most stunning country and my favourite place to call home.

After travelling from the top of the North Island to the bottom of the South of New Zealand, I made the best decision to choose Queenstown as my home for its beautiful changeable seasons.

Here is where I continued my beauty career working at various halls, spas and salons in my time.My qualifications within beauty are tinting, waxing, manicures, pedicures etc. Also the LVL lash lift, facials including dermaplaning and special occasion makeup. One of my many favourite things about beauty is having a good old chat to my clients which always makes my day! I love all things beauty and fashion with a special interest in lashes and makeup!

On my days off in Queenstown I love to explore the many walking tracks it has to offer, kayaking in the summer, powder days in the winter and much more. I have the best groups of friends here so I love doing things with them too!

From my small home town in Cornwall back in the U.K. I took my first steps into the beauty industry. Starting out with my glamorous 87 year old grandma being one of my most popular clients as I built up my skills in forming client relationships and a returning client base in the small local salon that had been around since way before I was born.

After studying for two years in Beauty Therapy I continued in my additional studies down the more holistic routes of Spa Therapy and Reflexology giving me more of an insight into all of the different paths there are to take within this ever growing industry. A strange favourite for me being pedicures, taking people's unkept feet into my own hands and transforming them in just 50 minutes is always a highly satisfying challenge, as well as re-discovering someone's gorgeous natural brow shape beneath the unwanted strays.

I began my backpacking trips in 2018 across Europe, New Zealand, Australia and parts of Asia. From smothering myself in natural clay off the walls of a tiny Greek beach, experiencing a torturous Thai massage on Kho San Road, to tweezing all of my friends' eyebrows on the bus to Queenstown in time for our bar crawl that night I realised that no matter where I go beauty is always within me. Whether it's carrying out treatments on others or experiencing them myself.

After returning back to Queenstown in October 2019 my aim was to work in an environment that thrived with a lovely local clientele, just like home. Working in such an uplifting, positive environment surrounded by likeminded girls and happy clients is exactly what I love about my job. The transformations just one treatment can make for someone and the impact that one satisfied client can have on your day is why this industry is so important to me.

I feel so humbled to be able to spend my days off sitting by the lake or soaking up the views at the top of some of the incredible hikes Queenstown has to offer. And if not here you'll find me soaking up the sun, cider and gorgeous food with friends somewhere in town.

With a background in business, marketing & events, gaining my makeup artistry qualification from The Makeup School in Ponsonby, Auckland back in 2014 was at the time more of a personal achievement rather than a career driven one. I was still living in my home city, Auckland and working in the corporate industry, doing makeup for school balls and weddings on the weekends was a creative outlet that I loved, but at the time couldn't see how I'd ever be able to walk away from corporate life.

All that changed when I decided to move to Queenstown in 2015, within 6 months of living here I'd gone from doing makeup on the weekends to doing makeup for weddings everyday of the week, and so EVE Makeup Artistry was born.

When I first arrived in Queenstown there were two things I noticed about beauty, there was no where to buy makeup and most of the salons & spas were very tourist focused. I've spent the last 3 years focusing on growing my business & team as makeup artists, so opening this salon and now being offer a wider range of treatments, services and products to Queenstown locals is a real dream come true for me. During this time I have also gained my Lash & Brow Technician qualification from Nouveau Lashes.

When I'm not doing makeup, I'm learning about new products & makeup techniques, along with keeping up to date with the latest fashion and beauty trends. When I'm away from my desk during the summer months you'd find me outdoors with my two dogs Yuki & Eva, or out socialising with my friends. During the winter you'll find me on the mountain snowboarding or ski-touring.
